Description:   The soil color is reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   737 was left after excavation of 717. We suspect it is an orphan from a previous context, left out from an excess of caution for wall 731. It is possible that 737 is related to one of the nearby contexts, though this will require more information from the pottery areas. Given its position sitting out on a little spit of land extending out to the N, it is also possible that 737 is an orphan from a previous excavation, and that the rest of the context disappeared during the excavations of the 1960s, or was perhaps slowly lost down the side of the scarp as weathering took its toll on the exposed face of the scarp.Whatever the context, the removal of 737 revealed little, except slightly more of wall 731 and perhaps some further remains of the foundation trench related to the wall 731, which we have not given a context to (since it will be some time since a future session should hope to explore it).
