Description: | The soil color is light reddish black. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy clay.
Notes: | We decided to dig this baulk N of robbing trench 818 in attempt to determine the northern end of the hard packed surface (936) underneath the tile destruction layer (934). In fact both 934 and 936 may continue E of 818, so we would like to understand if the destruction tile layer (934) and the floor surface underneath it (936) extend N the robbing trench 818. This thin context, poorly soorted, extended for all the length of the baulk. Its S-E edge appears to extend around trench 818 and stops in the middle of the strip E of 818. But this edge it not very clear, becase this strip is very narrow. 937 came on a hard packed brownish surface (939) which had some big pieces of tiles, even thought not many as 934. This hard packed layer exteded for all the length of the baulk.
