Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light brownish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   Soil is harder than 147.
This context was opened as a precaution within the FT cut of 147 into an area of more compact soil previously thought to be the bedrock at the bottom of drain 107 and the soft sill below. Although it is almost certainly the same fill as 147, we are excavating it separately. A few large cobbles came up. It is bounded by bedrock at the E and W, and a step cut on this, the removal of 147 on N. We close this context when we reach bedrock. There are few finds. 45 liters of soil were removed.
