Notebook: | 1109 | |
Context: | 173 | |
Date: | 2015/05/29 | |
Description: | The context shape in plan is linear. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is flat. Truncation: possibly truncated by 174, which may be associated with drain 107..
Notes: | See 149 and 147 for additional information. This is a linear cut that skirts the foundation course of the original Hellenistic NS wall (38). It widens around the sqaure intersection block between rooms, but maintains its width between 17-21 cm. It extends to the S, but the soil was left unexcavated. It may have been truncated by a possibly lower cut in the NW (174), which reduces the depth to 0.31 m.
