Notes:   This is one of three (or more) very small pits that encircle the large pit in the SE corner of this quadrant that was cut by the drain and marble bench. It seems very likely that they are related to this earliest feature but the specific purpose is unclear. These small pits were carefully excavated but only this one contained any artifacts and was thus given a context number.
