Description: | The soil color is dark brownish black. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is clayey sand. | |
Notes: | 11/4/16 We begin to remove the dark soil within the cut exposed by the removal of 326. There are still large number of medium-sized stones and roof tiles in the fill. There are also some frag.s of architectural elements--piece of marble revetment, piece of pebble floor. There is very little non-roofing ceramic. This deposit runs up to the northern and eastern walls. Along the eastern edge of the deposit, the stone block is cut back slightly. No bone. The deposit is deeper on the south than next to the north wall. | |
