Context Type:   Cut
Title:   Foundation trench of northern segment of Late Wall
Notebook:   1110
Context:   373
Date:   2016/04/14
Description:   The context shape in plan is rectrangular. The top break of the cut is gradual (sharp in places). The sides of the cut are stepped. The break at the base of the cut is sharp (gradual in places). The base of the cut is uneven. Truncation: Truncated to south by Broneer's excavation of Robbing Trench (Context 355).
Notes:   This is the cut for STR 378 (also filled by Context 369).
The base is generally flat-to-blunted-point in profile, but very irregular in lengthwise section (that is, the bottom surface is not very level, because it seems at least in part to follow the bedrock).
Equals Cut 377, for the southern segment of the Late Wall.
The western side of the cut is stepped: its width is ca. 0.45 m at the top, but narrows to 0.13-.20 ca. 0.20 down from the top.
