Type:   Basket
Name:   Temple E, Southeast, context 1105
Area:   Temple E, Southeast
Title:   Repair patch of 1106, N unpaved courtyard, unit 1
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1112
Context:   1105
Date:   2017/5/23
Stratum:   Inclusions: fine to medium pebbles (subrounded, 20%), ceramics (1%), coarse sand.
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   It was assumed at the start of the context excavation that this was related to the robbing trench cut in the west portion of unit 1 (excavated in session 1 of the 2017 excavations). However, due to the cement floor on which 1105 was laid, it became obvious this was unrelated to the robbing trench. This area of the unit has had evidence of increased wear (see context 1098, another repair patch). Perhaps this was an area with more foot traffic or use.
