Stratum:   10% coarse pebbles and ceramics (pottery)
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   We excavate this patch originally revealed in cleaning context 4. The patch filled cut 15 but its exacat association with strucutre 11 is unclear. It fills a void where one would expect a stone for the wall to be. The patch is looser than the compact surrounding soil and much lighter. The excavation of it proceeds quickly. The removal of the patch reveals more of the compact, darker soil we see around the patch. We stop excavation to investigate this layer further.
