Stratum:		60% inclusions, subrounded and angular stones (spherical, tabular, and platy), some roof tiles
Description:		Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:		As we continued to excavate east in the corridor, there was a color change from lighter to darker (from 313 to 300). In addition, the matrix of the soil became much rockier. This deposit was traced to the east, and it was closed when the soil changed again, back to a lighter, clayier matrix, with a lot less inclusions. It is unclear as to the formation process here. Perhaps 300 was simply dumped in one single event. Given the small size of the deposit it is hard to determine the exact nature of this event. Context 300 was assigned its context number out of numerical sequence. It was excavated after Context 313.
