Corinth Basket: Temple E, Southeast, context 337
Collection:   Corinth
Type:   Basket
Name:   Temple E, Southeast, context 337
Area:   Temple E, Southeast
Title:   Fill from post hole, 2nd from W, Corridor
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1108
Context:   337
Date:   2014/05/19
Stratum:   30% inclusions, primarily angular cobbles, few sherds
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Deposit 337 appears to be another post hole, given its shallow and circular form. Like deposit 331, the other post hole excavated earlier today, more rocks were sticking out of the surface, indicating that this deposit cut into the surrounding surface. Not much in terms fo material coming out of the deposit indicates more of its actual use.
Again, 337 seems to line up with 331, which could indicate that these two post holes could support something like a shed roof in this space. But whether that is the case right now is very unclear (especially as we go through the rest of the fill of the corridor).
See note for Cut 333 for more on the relationship of the post holes in the corridor.
