Description:   The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   While excavating Context 389, a trampled surface covering the W third of the corridor, we came down on a small, circular pit/post hole cut into the unexcavated packed surface below. We are taking this pit fill as Context 397. It appears to be a small post hole, full of a reddish matrix of sandy silt with very few inclusions.
