Notes:   Cut context 434 is a rectangu;ar trench cut through the deposits below the lifted section of the tile floor paving in unit 2 room A (structure context 500). The purpose for which the trench was cut is not clear from the excavted portion of its fill. It is clear, however, that both the trench and its fill should continue westward under the floor tile that remain in situ. Further excavation is necessary to determine the interpretation of the this trench.
