Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light greenish brown. The soil compaction is firm. It is silty clay.
Notes:   The plaster bin and its fill were exposed by the removal of floor 413. By removing the fill we hope to get an idea of the bin's purpose and the relationship of its construction to that of wall 110. The walls of the bin as seen in plan do not touch wall 110, but presumably they did at one time. The bottom of the bin was exposed by the removal of the fill from cut 435. The walls and floor of the bin are continous layer of plaster 0.03 - 0.05m thick. The fill is soft and uniform, containing small pieces of bone and ceramic and some chunks of plaster. Upon removing all of the fill, we find that the plaster continues under wall 110. The bin was built before the wall. It may be associated with the construction of this or nearby rooms, perhaps as a pit for mixing cement. We cannot investigate the bin further without removing wall 110.
