Description: | Top slope of the context is level. Structure materials: limestone, tile bedding. Material size: 0.2 m (stones). Material finish: roughly hewn. Material construction: uncoursed. Material bonding: mud plaster.
Notes: | The wall appears to be a single course sitting on floor 453. Perhaps it was a platform that connected with 455 to the west. We had thought floor 463 was laid against this wall, but upon excavating the floor it was clear that the tile base of the wall sat on top of the floor. The wall has no foundations and the rough stones are bonded with mud plaster. Some small bits of bone and pottery were found in the plaster. Wall 442 does not have any structural connection with the wall protruding rom the scarp below wall 501. Animal bones. 0.1 kg, thrown.
