Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light greenish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   This small cut and fill is in the southwest corner of our excavation area, north of Room H in Unit 2. The fill is significantly darker than the surrounding soil. The small amount of fill had very few inclusions. At the bottom of the shallow cut was a single worked stone, not in situ, approximatley 0.10 x 0.10 x 0.05m. The pit could have been dug for the stone, but why is unclear.
Animal bones: 0.05 kg, thrown.
Context Pottery:   Fineware. blue frit, bowl. ; Fineware. plain glazed, unslipped (800-1100), pitcher. 1 bodysherd.
