Title:   Two mudbricks and millstone fragment
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1108
Context:   63
Date:   2014/04/11
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light pinkish red. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is clay.
Notes:   We open this context to explore the mudbrick and millstone set on top of the surface excavated as context 43. The mudbrick was partly melted and easily distinguishable from the gray clay surrounding it, with a firm compaction. We close the context shortly after opening it when the surface of the context 43 became visible. Excavation of the mudbricks revealed another surface characterized by red clay just below the surface of context 43 on which the mudbricks sat. The color is slightly different from the color of the mudbricks; it is likely that the excavation of the mudbricks unintentionally removed the floor between the mudbrick and the lower red surface. Excvation of the red surface must wait until context 62, until the intervening clay floor is removed.
