Notes:   In addition to the skeleton, one box of bones very likely coming from the skeleton were collected from the fill 767. Also note iron cross(?) from 767.
This skeleton is well-preserved and comes from burial 2015-07. Most bones were found well-preserved and where one would expect them. Exceptions: some phalanges were found on top of the bottom of the pelvis even as the arms and fingers were crossed over the stomach. Presumably the bones fell down/moved during decomposition. The feet were pressed right up against the cut, and several bones were missing or out of place. The head was propped up at a sharp angle, presumably to fit the body into the cut that was just barely big enough.
On removal the lower vertabrae and the hips proved very fragile. The left ilium was already badly damaged before lifting.
