Description:		The context shape in plan is linear. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is flat. Truncation: truncated by later cut 949.
Notes:		This cut was noticed during the excavation of the foundation fill (948) for the altar base. The cut fitting the altar base (cut 949) encompasses a larger area around the base. This cut (951) is almost direclty under the east side of the base. It is possible that this earlier cut represents a failed first attempt at digging a foundation pit for the base.
