Decoration: | Exterior slipped and painted. Spout has two parallel bands beneath it that curve around it to rim band, 5 groups of three short strokes along the outermost band roughly vertical. On either side of spout is a large triangle with its apex pointing down, enclosing two parallel smaller triangles which form a sort of crosshatching at the apex (Buck Motif 38 - triangle enclosing narrow lines). Rim has a band and the top of rim is decorated with a series of short strokes which continue onto rim of spout. | |
