Description: | Fragmentary roof tile with incised compass-cut concentric circles. Side with circles is slipped yellow, surface now cracking. Other side is rough. One edge survives with a slight ridge. The tile is flat. The pivot of the compass is indicated by a hole. 13 concentric cicles are incised, M. Diam. 0.074 m. Circles are in groups of 3 or 4, with spaces between the groups. A practice piece for an apprentice? | |
