Description:   Type XXVII lamp with flat bottom offset by incised circle, deep flaring convex body, broad flat rim with raised panels, shallow concave disk with fill hole to rt. of center, nozzle with flat panel enclosing wick hole, verical lug handle, pierced grooves.
Decoration:   Impressed ovules on rim. In relief on discus: youthful Dionysus, standing frontally, looking lt., rt. arm at side, lt. hand raised to hold thyrsus. Nude except for double fold with fringe (leopard skin) crossing chest diagonally from lt. shoulder to rt. side, fold of drapery on lt. shoulder.
