[Agora Deposit] D 19:1: Cistern in House H in ΝΝ

Well in the industrial area west of the Areopagus. A flask-shaped cistern in House H with a dumped fill of the late fifth century brought from elsewhere and evidently deposited sometime in the 3rd c. B.C ... Ca. 420-400 B.C.

Two chambers connected by a tunnel, all filled at the same time, but with slight Hellenistic disturbance. Chamber A, to west at 14/ΛΗ, B to east at 14-15/ΛΒ on grid for section RR. Cistern system ca. 20.00m ... Ca. 325-275 B.C.

"Foundry Pit": N-S Cut on 50m. line (area of Stoa, Layer VII, with slag). A foundry pit in the courtyard of a small metalworking establishment outside the Agora to the northwest. Both the courtyard and ... Ca. 375-350 B.C.

[Agora Deposit] E 13:1: Well 5

Carefully cut in bedrock with firm footholds on either side. The use filling is represented by a few fragments of water jars (uninventoried), indicating a short period of use. The dumped filling, below ... Ca. 470-425 B.C.

[Agora Deposit] E 14:5: Unfinished Well, Well G

Found in 13/06/1935. Dumped filling in an unfinished well originally dug only to a depth of 5.50m. Probably a post-Persian cleanup, perhaps in one of the public buildings near the SW corner of the square ... Ca. 520-490 B.C.
